At first, the Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS), which was made in 1973, was the working power that only centered around wellbeing administration conveyance.  
Consequently, the DHA was made, in June 2007, by Law 13 issued by His Highness Sheik Mohammed container Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, with an extended vision to incorporate vital oversight for the complete wellbeing segment in Dubai and improve private part engagement.
His Highness Sheik Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance is the President of the Dubai Health Authority. His Excellency Engineer Essa Al Haj Al Maidoor is the Director General of the DHA.
