Direction la mosquée Sheikh Zayed à Abu Dhabi. Elle est, avec sa superficie totale de 22 412 m² et sa capacité à accueillir jusqu’à 40 000 visiteurs, la plus grande mosquée des Émirats arabes unis, et la neuvième au rang mondial.

Cette œuvre d’art architectural est l’une des plus grandes mosquées au monde, elle comprend 80 dômes, environ 1 000 colonnes, des lustres en plaqué or 24 carats, et le plus grand tapis tissé à la main au monde. La salle de prière principale est dominée par l’un des plus larges lustres au monde – 10 mètres de diamètre, 15 mètres de haut et pesant plus de 9 tonnes.

Legoland Dubai unveils stunning and first of its kind Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Lego model.
The model was unveiled at Legoland Dubai on Tuesday in the presence of Yousif Al Obaidli, the director general of the real mosque, ahead of the Eid holidays.
British paper sculpture artist Su Blackwell, 37, an artist in residence with the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel, works on the model on at the hotel in Abu Dhabi in 2013.
The mosque model, which took about two weeks to complete, is built out of an Arabic translation of the 1001 Arabian Nights book.

The Hilton Abu Dhabi’s pastry team crafted a chocolate replica of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the hotel lobby in 2014.
Guests look and walk past a chocolate replica of Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque made of 130 kilograms of white chocolate. The model was 2 metres long, 1.22 metres wide and 90 centimetres tall.
