Extension du métro de Dubaï (photos)
Sheikh Hamdan a posé la première pierre pour l’extension du métro de Dubaï. La première section, avec 10 stations mises en service, a été inaugurée le 9 septembre 2009. A noter que le métro de Dubaï est entièrement automatisé (sans conducteur) desservant la ville de Dubaï aux Émirats arabes unis.
Le métro de Dubaï est devenu en 2010 le métro entièrement automatique le plus long au monde, dépassant le SkyTrain de Vancouver de 3 km. Depuis sa création, ce dernier a permis de réduire le temps des déplacements et le niveau de pollution de la ville.
Avec cette extension, le métro devrait permettre de décongestionner les rues de l’Emirat de Dubai, très encombrées par les voitures. Découvrez les photos de Sheikh Hamdan participant à son inauguration.
